Welcome to the UK’s number one small scale contemporary dance festival.

Renowned for its exciting choice of emerging artists alongside some of the finest national and international choreographers, NOTT Dance celebrates the risk taking, cross art form collaboration and innovation which defines new dance. Last year’s programme broke all previous records with few seats being left empty – so if you’re new to the festival, book in advance.

Rarely seen in this country before, Canadian choreographer Lynda Gaudreau makes a stunning use of The Bonington Gallery in a piece which explores the architecture of the body. Julyen Hamilton is one of Europe’s foremost dance improvisers, together with his international company he will lead a series of workshops and discussions culminating in the premiere of a new performance. From a new generation of Spanish artists La Ribot performs a highly intelligent and witty series of short solos.

Having worked on Stanley Kubrick’s latest film, award winning choreographer Yolande Snaith presents a vibrant and witty new show. Dancer/choreographer Frank Bock and designer/ director Simon Vincenzi will spend a week in Nottingham to put the finishing touches on a new performance which will premier in The Great Hall at The University of Nottingham. Delighting audiences in the county, Flamenco Express present a range of flamenco styles together with music and song, whilst Axis Dance brings two shows for 3 to 6 year old’s.

With an exciting new initiative from Dance4, The White Room invites choreographer Fin Walker to work extensively with a group of regional dancers to create a performance specifically designed for the Bonington Gallery. 5Live presents the latest developments from regional choreographers whilst Notes In The Margins highlights work in progress from local performance artists.
